Cloud dashboard
The dashboard is where you run your whole estate: mint the keys that license each swarm, watch every unit check in live, adopt new screens, and manage your subscription. It is fully hosted, so you sign in and start work — there is nothing to install or maintain.
Open your dashboard and sign in with your operator account — an email and password. Your session is a private, opaque cookie; only a hash of it is ever stored. Once you are in, everything below lives on a single page, with tabs across the top for Floorplans, Video walls and Billing.
New to the product? Start with getting started for the end-to-end path from a fresh unit to a live wall.
Cloud keys
The Cloud keys card lists every key in your organisation with its label and the number of units currently attached. A cloud key is a swarm's licence and the credential its units use to reach the cloud — see security for how the key confines a swarm to its own topics.
Mint a key
Give the key an optional label and press Mint key. The cloud provisions the credential and shows you the full key exactly once, in a banner at the top of the page.
The full key is flashed a single time and is never placed in a URL. Copy it into a safe place immediately, then paste it into each unit of that swarm. If you lose it, mint a new one.
Revoke a key
Press Revoke on a key and confirm. Revocation is an instant fleet cutoff: the credential can no longer connect and its live sessions are dropped. You can only revoke keys in your own organisation.
The fleet table
The Fleet card is your live roll-call. Every unit reports in on its own, and each row shows:
| Column | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Status dot | A green dot when the unit has checked in within the last couple of minutes; grey when it has gone quiet. |
| Name | The unit's name. A name you set in the dashboard is kept even if the device reports a blank one. |
| Role | Its part in the swarm, such as member or master. |
| UID | The unit's stable hardware id. |
| Key | The cloud key the unit belongs to. |
For what each unit exposes to the building and how to name and address them, see units.
Pending units and adoption
A factory-fresh unit with no key yet announces itself to the cloud for onboarding and lands in a Pending units card, listed by name, model and UID. Adopting it is a one-click, over-the-air handshake:
Power on
Flash the YBeeM image and switch the unit on. With no key, it announces itself and appears as pending.
Adopt onto a swarm
Pick one of your keys from the dropdown and press Adopt.
Credentials delivered sealed
The cloud seals that swarm's credentials and delivers them to the unit over the air. It stores the key, reconnects as a full member, and now appears in your fleet.
You can always skip adoption and simply paste a cloud key onto the unit by hand — both routes end with the unit checking in.
Organisations and roles
The dashboard is multi-tenant. Every operator belongs to an organisation, and you only ever see your own organisation's keys and fleet — never another tenant's.
Administrators have wider reach: they can see units awaiting onboarding across organisations, adopt them, and move a unit from one swarm to another. The cloud-driven onboarding pool is administrator-only; as a tenant you onboard by minting your own key and adopting onto it.
Because keys and units are scoped to your organisation, one hosted dashboard safely serves many customers at once, each seeing only their own estate.
Billing
The Billing area holds your per-swarm subscription. Billing is per active unit, per month, so the page shows your current active-unit count, the price per unit, and the resulting monthly total, alongside your subscription status.
There are two ways to pay, both opt-in:
- Pay now — a hosted checkout for this month's total.
- Card on file — save a card to enable autopay, and the cloud charges it each month automatically. You can turn autopay off at any time.
Theme
The picker in the top bar sets the dashboard's look along two axes: an accent colour (Bee, Meadow, Ocean, Berry or Slate) and a base — Light, Dark or OLED. Your choice is saved to your account, so it follows you to any browser you sign in from.
Fully hosted
Everything here runs in the YBeeM cloud. You never stand up a server, a broker or a database — you sign in, mint a key, and your units connect. From then on your subscription tracks the units you have active and updates flow to them on their own.
